Serena Jackson (they/them) is seeking a nomination for Park Board because they are passionate about people, our planet, and the intersection of land use with climate justice, public health, and equity. Their perspective is informed by their work with at-risk youth and people experiencing homelessness, as well as their time as Co-Chair of Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQ+ Advisory Committee. Like many Vancouverites, Serena is tired of watching the city they love disappear as their friends and neighbours move away. As Commissioner, Serena will work to improve affordability and climate resiliency through access to child care, food security, active transportation links, and stewardship of public spaces.
