Rory Brown (he/him) taught in the VSB for 15 years at the high school level. He is currently faculty at BCIT in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He was president of the Vancouver Secondary Teachers Association and also served as an executive member at the BCTF. He has a detailed and comprehensive understanding of the Vancouver School Board and is committed to bringing fairness and transparency back to the Vancouver public school system. He lives near the PNE with his partner Julie, three boys and a happy dog.

1) Secondary schools with a variety of programs that are available to all students in the city;
2) School Board meetings where all feel welcome and valued;
3) Productive culture where employees and students feel they’re part of the decision making process.
