Kyla (she/her) believes that every kid deserves access to quality public education that is equitable, accessible, and supports students, families, and educators. She is an advocate for public services, a board member for community organizations, a former Chair of the Vancouver Public Library, and a parent. She believes that public governance should be focused on transparency and accountability while ensuring that decision-making is informed by the climate emergency, social justice, decolonization, and centered on those most impacted by the decision. Kyla will fight to remove barriers to public participation in school board decision-making.
